Frequently
Asked Questions

What are your office hours & during which hours can I access my unit?

Office Hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM M – F and 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays. The office is closed on Sundays.

You may access your storage unit from 6 AM to 9 PM daily. Security is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Do I have to make a long-term commitment?

No long term commitment is required to rent a unit. Upon completion of your rental agreement, you will pay a prorated amount of rent for the remainder of the current month, plus your next month’s rent (plus any additional required deposits, taxes or fees). We ask all renters to give us 30 days notice before vacating their storage unit.

If you need to store your valuables over a longer term, we encourage you to let us know before signing your rental agreement. We may be able to offer you a discounted monthly rate when you sign a contract for a longer term and / or when you pay in advance.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes!

We are grateful to the members of our community who work hard to keep us safe. We offer a discount to all first responders and veterans, and we offer an additional discount to active duty military members.

We also offer discounts to students and those 60 years of age and older.

We ask for appropriate ID or documentation to verify discount eligibility.

As noted, there may be additional discounts available to those seeking longer-term storage solutions. Please contact us for details about potential long-term discounts.

I’m not sure about the size of unit I need. Can you help?

Absolutely. Visit our storage sizing guide online to get an idea of the size unit you will need. If you’re still not sure, contact one of our friendly staff for a consultation – we’ll help you pick the unit that’s just right for your needs.

Can I get a refund for a portion of time I wasn’t using / no longer needed the unit?

We do not offer pro-rated refunds at this time. You may continue to use your unit until the last day of the month or your rental term. Again, we ask for 30 days notice if you are anticipating vacating your storage unit.

What kind of lock should I use with my unit / do you sell locks?

We recommend using a high quality steel lock to protect your valuables. For your convenience, we offer high quality locks for sale at the office for a nominal fee. Should you lose your key or otherwise get locked out of your unit, we also offer lock cutting services on site for a fee.

Do you offer / can I get insurance for my storage unit?

We highly recommend the All Secured Storage Protection Plan. For a minimal monthly fee, we will insure your valuables for additional peace of mind. Our top-notch security pairs perfectly with this plan to ensure that you never have to worry about your possessions being stolen or damaged.

Where are you located?

Our facility is located off of westbound 40 highway at the edge of Blue Springs, Independence and Lee’s Summit, just a couple of minutes off of I-70 and I-470.

Please note that the facility is not accessible from 40 highway eastbound, meaning you will need to drive past the facility and turn around if approaching from the West. This one way access provides additional security by limiting the potential direction of travel for anyone leaving the facility.

Do you offer climate controlled units or units with power available?

At this time, climate controlled units are not available, though our plans for expansion do include climate controlled units. Some of our largest units are available with power, though these are typically reserved for commercial vehicles and businesses. Please contact us for more information if you are interested in powered unit.

Is there anything I’m not allowed to store in my unit?

We ask that all renters refrain from storing extremely hazardous materials in their storage units. This includes chemicals which are explosive, highly flammable, dangerously hazardous to human health & the environment or radioactive. Fuels such as gasoline, diesel or others may be stored so long as they are properly stored and in approved storage containers.

Can I reserve my unit online?

You may request to rent a unit online. To complete your request, we will contact you and set up a time for you to visit our facility.

Note that you have not rented a unit until you have completed a rental agreement in person at our facility. Availability is on a first come, first served basis, and until your rental agreement is complete, we cannot guarantee that a unit is, will be or will remain available. We recommend visiting us in person as soon as possible to complete your rental agreement.
